We are dedicated to providing a clean and tidy environment so that your stay will be as pleasant and memorable as possible. Here are some simple requests to help us to help you.

Fires

Open fires are welcome on the site but we ask you to use the drums and stands provided. Please use wood from the wood pile or any dead wood available on the ground. No forestry work should be undertaken without permission from the Warden.

Water

Please use taps provided and ensure that all taps are switched off after use. There is no drinking water available in the toilets.

Toilets

Please leave toilet blocks as you would like to find them. How about taking a turn at cleaning the toilets?

Waste Disposal

Please put all non burnable rubbish in the black bin bags provided and put them in the large skip located in the Car Park. Black bags are available at the office. No litter. Please help by picking up litter and putting it in the site bins.

Activities

All activities are booked and organised by Rock and River Outdoor Pursuits, Tel: 01695 51123. Activities available are Canoeing, Climbing, Abseiling, Raft Building, Orienteering, Rifle Shooting, Archery and Initiative Exercises. If you wish to organise you own activities please contact Rock and River to ensure all relevant qualifications are valid. If you plan a night activity please advise the site office.

Shop

The Providore is open at the times advertised in the shop.

Site 55

General

Only guide dogs are allowed on the camp site.
Please report any accidents to the site office.
Please keep noise to a minimum between 2300hrs and 0700hrs.
Cars are to be parked in the Car Parks. Help will be given to move equipment around the site. Book a tractor at the site office.
All cars are parked at owners risk.
Wheelbarrows are for moving equipment and not for collecting wood.
Caravans are welcome by arrangement with the Warden.
Please arrange for your site or building to be inspected before you leave. Allow enough time for this to be done properly.
It is the responsibility of each group to have insurance for their belongings.
Group behaviour is the responsibility of the Leader(s).
